Oliver pushed open the door making his way into the Tower, pink pastry box in hand. It was his first Valentine’s Day with Chloe and he had a whole evening planned that would hopefully end with at his apartment.
He spotted her in front of the command center typing away surrounded by flowers, balloons, chocolates and even a stuffed bear. He frowned at the multitude of gifts.
She turned, blonde curls bouncing lightly, warm smile on her face.
“Hey Ollie, you’re early. I thought we weren’t going out until tonight.”
He nodded as he came up beside her placing a chaste kiss against her waiting lips.
“Yeah, but I was in the neighborhood and I thought I’d drop by bring you a little snack before my meeting. You’re always forgetting to take a break and eat.”
She chuckled and he motioned to the cluttered desk full of gifts.
“What’s all this?”
“Valentine’s Day gifts from the team. Apparently since none of them are in a relationship I’ve become the honorary girlfriend of our super friends.”
Oliver poked at the bear, loud kissing noises coming from it making him wince. He wasn’t sure he liked sharing Chloe with the guys. He was greedy and preferred when her attention was solely focused on him. It must be the only child syndrome.
He hating sharing his things and if Chloe ever knew that he referred to her as his, she’d shoot him with his own arrow. She watched as he scrunched up his face at her stuff, sending a glower her way.
“You know maybe it’s about time we tell the guys about us.”
Chloe chuckled, moving the bear aside as she leaned against the desk watching him, amusement on her face.
“I thought we decided that we’d keep this relationship under wraps until we figured out where it’s going.”
Oliver shrugged moving closer to her and wrapping his hands around her waist smirk on his face.
“Well I don’t know about you, but I think it’s working out pretty well so far…and it’s possible Bart's constant drooling over you irritates me slightly.”
He placed a soft kiss against her neck, her laughter making her body shake lightly. She patted his arm as he moved back so they were looking at each other.
“Well no worries there I only have eyes for one leather clad hero. Soo what’s in the box?”
Oliver moved the box out of her reach and she pouted. He rolled his eyes at her dramatics bringing his hand back down and carefully opening the box. Chloe peered inside and licked her lips, eyes taking in the tasty dessert.
“I love chocolate covered strawberries!”
“I’m aware of that. I was on the other side of Metropolis earlier today and I passed that bakery you like, thought I’d grab some for you.”
Chloe swallowed hard before reaching up, caressing his cheek and capturing his lips with hers. When she pulled away he brushed a stray curl behind her ear and grinned. Her voice
He nodded as she watched him grab some napkins for the strawberries. Chloe had been with Oliver for four months already and she couldn’t believe how much things had changed since that dinner with him and J’onn.
After meeting Hawkman, Oliver had changed. He was more open with her spending more of his free time in her presence at the Tower. They’d developed a strong friendship and somewhere down the line it had become more.
The way she felt about him scared her, but she wasn’t going to let fear keep her from what she wanted…not this time. Oliver’s hand on her arm knocked her out of her thoughts as he held a strawberry out to her mouth.
She grinned, held onto his arm, stepping in taking a generous bite of the chocolate covered fruit. She moaned low in her throat as she moved in taking another bite. Oliver stared transfixed as her pink tongue slid out of her mouth and against his fingers.
He’d never seen anything more sexy. She went to grab another strawberry, but he stopped her, hands sliding to her hips pulling her against his body. Chloe bit her lip as Oliver’s darkened eyes raked over her body. He cupped her cheek and swooped in, lips crashing against hers.
Their mouths molded together as he walked them back until she was against the desk. He kissed down her cheek and along her jaw until his mouth closed over her neck, sucking hard, marking her. She moaned and ran her fingers through the hair at the nap of his neck.
Oliver was losing control quickly, the noises she was making as his hands roamed over her body driving him crazy. He had just lifted her onto the desk when a gust of wind hit them, Bart’s voice echoing through the Tower.
“I got one more gift for you Chloelicious just wait until you…”
His voice trailed off as he saw Chloe sitting on the desk, lips red and swollen, Oliver between her spread legs, clothes rumpled. Bart pointed mouth hanging open.
Chloe sighed and hid her face in Oliver’s shirt. Oliver gave Bart a sheepish grin as he shifted his stance slightly.
“Hey Bart…uh Chloe and I…we were just checking the durability of the desk. Feels steady to me. Sidekick?”
Chloe nodded as he stepped back letting her hop down.
“Yeah, very steady.”
Bart raised his eyebrows, rolled his eyes, and crossed his arms over his chest. They didn’t actually expect him to believe that did they?
“Right because I’m that stupid. Chloelicious you’re breakin’ my heart here. And on Valentine’s Day? Is it the leather? Cause I can wear leather too.”
She laughed as she walked toward Bart and patted him on the shoulder, Oliver watching, smirk planted firmly on his face.
“Sorry Bart. I’m a one hero kinda woman.”
He let out a heavy sigh as Chloe fixed her clothes and moved back over to the main frame continuing the work that she’d started before Oliver interrupted her. She couldn’t believe they were stupid enough to get caught. They were never gonna live this down.
Bart glared at Oliver and the billionare shrugged amusement covering his features.
“Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Oliver laughed and a devious smile settled over Bart’s face.
“So do Stretch and the rest of the team know about you’re thing with Chloelicious?”
The smile left Oliver’s face as he shook his head and glared at the youngest member of his team.
“You wouldn’t dare.”
“Oh yeah I would.”
But he was already gone. Oliver groaned Chloe giving him a sympathetic smile. As soon as Bart tells the guys they were going to be bombarded with questions and the butt of jokes for weeks. He glanced at Chloe and she shrugged.
“At least we’ll always remember our first Valentine’s Day together…”
