"Wait you're going where?"
"For how long?"
"When are you coming back?"
"Are you bringing your coms and gear?"
"Is it a mission?"
"Can we come?"
Oliver gave Chloe a sidways glance as question after question was thrown at them. She met his eyes and gave him an 'I told you so' look before turning back toward the frantic members of their team and speaking calmly.
"Guys you all need to relax and ask one question at a time. I feel like I'm in a roudy classroom. Victor what was your question?"
"Where are you guys going?"
Chloe opened her mouth, but Oliver cut her off.
"That information is classified and on a need to know only basis."
Victor frowned.
"Well I need to know."
"No, you don't next question."
Victor glared at Oliver and he motioned to A.C.
"How long are you guys gonna be gone?"
"Approximately four to five days."
Chloe heard the grumbles from the team and decided to cut them off before they started shouting stuff again.
"Clark you had a question?"
He nodded arms crossed across his chest.
"Are you guys bringing your coms and gear? Is it a mission are you going to need back up? Because if you need to tell one person the location you’re staying I think it should be me."
Oliver snorted and mumbled something about Clark being the last person he'd give their location to when Chloe slapped his arm lightly before smiling back at Clark.
"That's very nice of you to offer Clark, but it's actually not a mission. We're taking a...personal trip."
Bart's eyes lit up at that news and he practically bounced out of his seat as he called out excitedly.
"You mean like a vacation? Can we come?"
Chloe hesitated and glanced at Oliver who rolled his eyes at her softened face and spoke quietly by her ear.
"No, Chloe come on we talked about this. Don't let them see your weakness or they'll eat us alive and we'll have to take all of them on our vacation."
She pursed her lips slightly but nodded before straightening herself up and shaking her head at Bart.
"Sorry. Oliver and I just need a little break. We won't be gone long, you'll be fine."
Bart pouted and glared at Oliver. He was about to say something when Mia walked through the doors and froze at the petulant faces on the rest of the team. Oliver and Chloe turned in her direction and her eyes widened before she spun around and headed back toward the door.
Chloe smiled and called out to her.
"Just the girl I was looking for."
Mia turned around and bit her lip before her eyes settled on Oliver.
"Listen I'm sorry okay it wasn't a big deal. I only took it for a couple of hours and now it's back safe and sound. No harm no foul. Getting Chloe to lecture me is mean."
Everyone raised their eyebrows at her as Oliver spoke confussion on his face.
"What are you talking about?"
"Uhh your car? What are you talking about?"
Chloe chuckled.
"Well I was going to ask you a favor, not lecture you, but thanks for making me feel so old. I didn't realize I lectured."
Mia gave her a sheepish smile and walked back toward the group of heroes.
"Sorry Chlo, what's this favor you need?"
"Oliver and I are going away for a few days and I thought since you've spent the most time with me and Watchtower you'd like to be the one in charge of it until we get back."
Oliver saw surprise in her eyes before it shifted to pride, gratitude, and excitement.
"Oh my god really? Yeah I'll totally do it. No problem."
"Great, Ollie brief the guys on the rules while I show Mia a few things."
"You got it Professor."
He winked at her as she walked away with Mia before turning to the guys and giving them a stern look.
"There are rules while we're gone. One do not under any circumstances bother us unless the world is quite literally coming to an end. No, don't say anything. I'm serious. I wanted to do something special for mine and Chloe's one year anniversary and it doesn't involve any of you. Understood?"
The team scowled, but nodded at his words. He lifted up another finger and continued.
"Two do not under any circumstances touch anything inside Watchtower unless you are Victor and even then Chloe said you have a list of what you are and aren’t allowed to touch."
He nodded.
"And last, but I promise you not least. This one is very important so listen up closely, especially Bart and Clark. Neither of you are to be speeding around the globe looking for us got that? No popping in unexpected. The adults need their quiet time."
Clark and Bart both shot daggers at Oliver as he grinned. He shrugged his shoulders and glanced at the bags by the door.
"Well that was easy."
Chloe made her way back into the room with Mia and sent a small smile Oliver's way.
"We all set?"
"Yup. The car's downstairs. I'll grab the bags."
She waved to the four scowling men on in front of her.
"You guys will be fine we'll see you in a few days."
The team watched them go panic rising as their two leaders jumped ship for a few days, making them fend for themselves. They glanced at Mia lost looks on their faces and she gulped. Making sure the guys stay out of trouble would be a piece of cake. Hell Chloe did it everyday. She'd be fine…right?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The room was aglow with the light from the setting sun. It was making its way through the wooden patio doors that Oliver had left open earlier when showing Chloe the view from the master bedroom. They lay tangled in a heap of golden and brown sheets. Chloe chuckled as Oliver leaned over her placing small nibbling kisses along her shoulder.
He was just slipping his hand down her silk clad hips when the buzzing of a phone made her tense beneath him. She shifted and he groaned as she moved him gently out of the way before leaning over to grab her phone.
She pressed a few buttons as he sat up and leaned against the headboard, arms crossed over his naked chest, frown on his face. Her soft voice broke the serene silence in the room as she addressed the person on the other end of the phone.
“Hello.”
Oliver glared at the offending piece of technology that was interrupting their vacation for the third time that day. It was their one year anniversary and he had planned a romantic four day getaway for them in the beautiful Krabi Island of Thailand.
He had been confident that it was far enough away that he knew team members wouldn’t be zipping in and out the whole four days they were gone, but close enough that they weren’t in a remote area with no service in case an emergency did arise.
But this was getting ridiculous. They had only been gone for two days it was not possible that they had already had three emergencies. Why couldn’t he just spend a normal few days away with his girlfriend? Was that really too much to ask for? He sighed and Chloe glanced at him with an apologetic look.
“Sorry Bart what was that? No, he’s right here. Why do you need to speak with him? I can put you on speaker.”
Oliver watched her push another button and then held the phone out between them before she spoke.
“Okay Bart, go ahead.”
“Heya boss man, how’s the vacation going?”
Chloe bit her lip to keep from laughing as Oliver pinched the bridge of his nose.
“It was going a lot better five minutes ago. I thought I told you not to disturb us unless it was an emergency.”
“It is. We’ve got a little problem at Watchtower.”
Chloe straightened and he saw her amused expression turn to worry. There was a slight hint of panic in her voice when she spoke.
“What do you mean there’s a problem at Watchtower? A better question would be why are you in the tower? I thought Mia was holding down the fort.”
Oliver shook his head. This was exactly what he was talking about. They worried Chloe needlessly and when he finally got her off the phone it took him hours to get her mind off of things again. He heard footsteps and then a loud wailing in the background.
Chloe opened her mouth but before she could say anything Oliver placed a hand on her arm and spoke.
“Is that the intruder alert system going off in the background?”
There was silence and then Bart’s hesitant voice came over the line.
“Yes?”
“Is that a questions or an answer?”
“An answer?”
Oliver rolled his eyes at Bart’s lack of actual answers when he heard a new voice on the line.
“Bart, what is that…are you on the phone? Damn it! You better not be on the phone with Chloe or Oliver I swear! I told you not to call that I’d take care of it.”
The noise in the background suddenly went quiet and Chloe glanced at Oliver as they heard struggling before a loud whack and Bart’s ‘ouch’.
“Hello?”
Chloe sighed.
“Hey Mia…is everything okay? Bart said there was trouble at Watchtower, do you need…”
Mia cut her off and spoke calmly.
“Everything’s fine Chloe, I promise. I had the tower locked down like you told me and these idiots came by without calling and set the alarms off. Don’t worry I put in all the override codes and everything is fine now.”
Oliver motioned to the phone.
“See everything’s fine Professor.”
She let out a sigh of relief as Mia continued speaking.
“I’m really sorry Bart bothered you guys. I’m gonna get going have fun we’ll see you when you get back.”
The line went dead and Oliver smiled. Good old Mia he knew he kept that girl around for a reason. Unlike the rest of the team she knew how to take a hint. He took the phone from Chloe and put it back on the small table next to his side of the bed.
“Now that, that’s settled…where were we?”
She shook her head and stood quickly, the light green nightgown clinging to her curves as she smirked in Oliver’s direction.
“No you don’t…I believe someone promised me a nice home cooked breakfast.”
“Now? It's almost dinner time.”
“You can eat breakfast food at any point of the day, it's a rule. Come on Mr. Queen…”
She walked past the open doors and headed into the hallway before glancing over her shoulder and speaking with a hint of mischief in her eyes.
“Oh and keep the shirt off. I like my men half naked while they work in the kitchen.”
Oliver smirked as he watched her hips sway. He tossed the covers off and followed her, grin on his face. Chloe might like topless men in her kitchen, but let's see what she thought about naked men working in her kitchen.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Chloe groaned as she leaned back in the hot, bubble filled, lavender scented water. She loved how spacious and open the bathroom was. She lifted her head slightly and glanced out the three long glass windows along the side of the bathtub.
It was dark, but she could see the outline of the Phranang beach right outside their Villa. She still couldn’t believe that Oliver had spent so much money on a four day vacation. He refused to tell her how much it cost, but with how amazing their place was it had to be a pretty penny.
She sank deeper into the water as the heat relaxed her muscles. They’d only been on the island for two days, but this was probably the best vacation she’d ever had. There had never been a time where she was more relaxed.
About fifteen minutes ago Oliver had gotten a business call that he had to take so he told her to get in the bath and he’d join her in a few minutes. Chloe had her eyes closed and an arm over each side of the tub, when she heard one of the doors in the other room open.
She felt a light breeze and she grinned. Her voice was tinged with playfulness as she lifted one long, lean leg straight in the air giving him a good look before hooking it over the side of the tub.
“It’s about time you finished that call. Now if I remember correctly I think you promised this girl multiple orgasms and something about me not being able to walk when you finished with me. Well what are you waiting for Mr. Queen?”
A throat was cleared and Chloe opened her eyes in confusion before screaming and splashing frantically trying to submerge her body further into the water. Not even ten feet in front of her stood Clark and Hawkman. Chloe glared at Clark and she shook her head.
"Damn it Clark!"
“CHLOE!”
Frantic footfalls could be heard as Oliver ran across the Villa into their bedroom and through to the bathroom. He froze when he caught sight of Clark and Carter standing there fully suited up while Chloe was trying to keep her naked body from being seen over the bubbles.
They turned when they heard him come in and Clark was met with a glare that even he winced at. Oliver was not happy. How had they found them? He made sure not to leave the address or itinerary with anyone. Hell he’d even taken his private Jet so they wouldn’t find the flight plan.
He pinched the bridge of his nose for the second time that night as he tried to calm his already out of control temper. He motioned in Chloe’s direction and spoke through gritted teeth.
“Could you turn around and give her some privacy? What are the two of you doing here?”
Clark had the decency to at least look sheepish, but Carter just grinned and winked at Chloe making her blush before turning his back on the blonde in the tub. Oliver shot daggers in Carter’s direction before moving toward the corner of the room behind the tub and grabbing the brown robe that was hanging up.
He motioned for Chloe to stand and she did carefully so he could wrap it around her before helping her out of the deep tub. Once the belt was securely tied around her waist Oliver broke the awkward silence.
“Again I ask what are you two doing here?”
They turned to face Chloe and Oliver as Clark spoke.
“We’re really sorry to bother you guys, but we were wondering if you could help us with something. Someone broke into the museum and stole Dr. Fate’s helmet. We’re pretty sure we know who has it we just needed some help getting through his security system.”
Chloe tilted her head and sighed. Oliver threw his hands in the air and pointed in their direction.
“What part of Chloe and I are going on vacation don’t any of you seem to understand? Enlighten me because I’m confused.”
Chloe touched his arm to try and calm him down.
“Ollie…”
“No, don’t Ollie me. This is the fourth time someone has disturbed our vacation. We’ve only been gone for two days! You mean to tell me they are that incapable of surviving without us for two days?”
Carter rolled his eyes and spoke in a gruff voice.
“Listen up green jeans; in our line of work we don’t get vacations. Besides we’re not here for you we’re here for your smarter half. So step aside.”
Oliver gaped at him before his fists clenched and he took a step forward. Chloe stepped between them placing both hands out toward their chests.
“I swear I’ll…”
“You’ll what? Talk me to death?”
“Try me big bird…”
“Bring it on string bean…”
Oliver opened his mouth and Chloe cut in.
“Both of you shut up! Listen guys I’d like to help really, but I didn’t bring my laptop with me.”
Clark smiled and held up his hand, which had her laptop in it. Chloe could see that Oliver’s patients was running incredibly thin. She pointed to the patio.
“Why don’t you guys wait outside for me get all the info up on the screen and I’ll see if I can hack through the system for you okay?”
Carter sent one more withering glare Oliver’s way before following Clark outside. She turned to Oliver and he raised an eyebrow in her direction.
“Ten minutes tops. You know if I don’t help them they won’t leave. Let’s just get it over with and then we can get back to more important things. Okay?”
He gave her a non committal grunt as she made her way to the patio. He settled down on the bed watching her work through the window and his lip turned up at the corner. Even after a year she was still as amazing as the first day they got together. Ten minutes later she was making her way back inside Clark and Carter following behind her.
“We done here?”
Carter frowned.
“Like you helped.”
“I leant you my girlfriend. That is helping.”
Before they could get into another argument Clark cleared his throat.
“Thanks again guys we’re sorry we bothered you.”
Oliver gave them a tight smile while waving them off with his hand. They disappeared and he turned to Chloe gripping the belt of her robe and pulling her against his body. She grinned as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
“Feeling better?”
“With them gone? Most definitely. Now I can focus on the reason why we’re here.”
Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she spoke.
“Mmm and tell me Mr. Queen why are we here again?”
“For some well deserved R&R with my favorite person.”
She leaned up, lips brushing his, breath warm as she spoke softly.
“Good answer.”
His hands reached down gripping her firm ass and lifting her into his arms. Her legs automatically wrapping around his waist as he moved them toward the bed. Chloe felt her back hit the cotton sheets and she moaned when his body pressed against hers.
His hands moved between them pushing her robe aside as he slid a warm palm inside, up and over her stomach before cupping her breast, thumb brushing lightly over her nipple. She moaned louder as she arched her body into his hand.
Oliver grinned against the skin of her neck as he moved against her, small hands gripping at his back pulling him closer. One hand traveled back down to her stomach heading further south. His fingers had barely parted her heat when their cell phones rang simultaneously.
They froze and stayed in that position as they rang a second and third time. Oliver let out a frustrated groan as he lifted himself off her.
“Unbelievable…you know what. That’s it. I give up. Why I thought we could have a normal vacation like a normal couple was beyond me. We’re far from normal and apparently the children are completely beside themselves without us.”
Chloe chuckled lightly. He was right, she knew he was right. They were never gonna get to have a peaceful vacation. She pulled her rob together and tilted her head to the side. He gave her a crooked smile.
“What do you say Sidekick…do we stick it out or head home?”
The phones had stopped ringing and she glanced around at the quietness of the night. She bit her lip reached over and switched both cell phones off.
“Maybe we accidentally forgot our chargers? What will we ever do? No phones…no email…nothing but us. How’s that sound?”
Oliver smirked.
“I don’t think you’ve ever had a better idea.”
“Well then why are you still so far away Romeo?”
He arched an eyebrow and then pounced on her. Chloe giggled as he covered her body with his. He captured her lips in a heated kiss and she moaned into his mouth. This had been what he’d been waiting for the whole trip. Oliver Queen was going to spend the next two days with his girlfriend doing nothing but normal things if it killed him.
He would also be requesting a new room in the morning just to be on the safe side. They didn’t need any more unexpected visitors. The team would just have to make do without them for the next 48 hours. Interruptions be damned.

LMAO! you're amazing love.
ReplyDeleteThis was fabulous all the way around. Carter, Bart... I love it! lol
(see i can't even manage a full sentence lol)
hahah this was so much fun. Poor Mia having to wrangle the boys, but if she can handle Ollie, his moods and his training thrashings, then the boys would be a piece of cake. Also Carter and Clark turning up, I could just picture their expressions. Clark embarrassed and apologetic, Carter smug and humored. :D
ReplyDeleteLoved it.
Pure win! Poor Oliver, can't have playtime with Chloe without interruptions. Love the pics you added too!

ReplyDeleteLOL. Such a cute read! If it were me I don't think I'd even tell them I was going on vacation. I'd leave a not along with a suspicious trail of breadcrumbs for them to follow in the opposite direction.
ReplyDeleteI *love* the scrapbook montage at the end. Chlolliers really must think in unison because I'm doing something similar myself. :) Thanks Corina! Love you.
