Chapter 3
‘Heart’s Desire’

Oliver made his way into the elevator and pushed the button for the top floor before the doors slid shut. He leaned against the railing, shoulders sinking slightly as the last couple of days finally caught up with him. Vordigan…he still couldn’t believe that particular part of his life had decided to rear its ugly head.

He thought he’d long since closed that chapter in his life, but apparently he’d been wrong, and because of him, three women he cared about could have been killed and he had gotten another lecture from Clark, because he was the only one who could do no wrong.

He’d apologized to Lois who had forgiven him readily, telling him it wasn’t his fault and then he’d had a surprisingly acute conversation with Mia in his training center. For a 16-year-old girl, she was far beyond her years in both logic and wisdom, which Oliver supposed made sense considering where she’d come from.

They’d come to an understanding and he’d agreed to train her if she went back to school and finished up her education. She had only put up a slight fight but within a few hours, he had her enrolled in the public school in Star City and had the jet gassed up, ready to take her to his penthouse in California, where she’d be living until she graduated.

He had a good feeling about Mia. She’d definitely fit in among their team of misfits and now with that taken care of, there was only one person left to check on. The elevator chimed, knocking him out of his thoughts. He let out a short breath and made his way into the hall and toward the double doors.

He didn’t bother knocking, rather he just pushed them open and walked in, not exactly sure what to expect. He paused just inside the doorway and frowned at not seeing the petite blonde near the large monitors. Maybe he should have called before coming after all.

“Chloe?” There was a light scuffling sound and he glanced up, noticing her on the second floor, wobbling on one of those small ladders as she attempted to fix something. His voice must have startled her and when he saw her footing falter, sending her careening over the ledge, a startled yell flying from her throat, he ran forward and held his arms out, catching her before the momentum from her body knocked them both to the ground.

Oliver’s head hit the ground and he grunted; Chloe’s body on him, one of his hands plastered to her ass, the other reaching up to brush the hair out of her eyes, worry clear on his face. “Jesus, are you alright?”

Her heart was pounding against her chest and she swore her life had just flashed before her eyes. She sucked in a deep breath and shifted slightly so she was no longer on her side, but straddling him and pressed flush up against his body, looking down on his face. She could see the hint of concern there and she opened her mouth, but nothing came out.

He frowned, reaching a hand up to cup her cheek as he spoke again. “Chloe…are you okay? Talk to me…”

She shook her head, trying to clear the fog out and opened her mouth again, this time more successful at the speaking part. “I’m okay…thanks…for the catching. Hitting the ground probably wouldn’t have been good…”

Her voice trailed off and he chuckled lightly, relief in his voice as he spoke. “Yeah, probably not.” He shifted his hand away from her face and slid it toward her shoulder, causing her to wince. He pulled back immediately, the frown once again returning to his features. “How’s the shoulder? I’m sorry I didn’t come by sooner. I was getting Mia squared away and I didn’t want to just call.”

She nodded as she sat up, bracing her knees on the floor and pushing her body up, trying not to think about how close they had just been and how good he felt pressed against her. She cleared her throat and held her uninjured arm out for him.

He arched an eyebrow at her but took it and let her help tug him up as she spoke. “I’m good…it was just a graze. The shoulder’s a little sore, but it’s healing nicely according to Emil.”

He nodded as he brushed off his pants. “That’s good.” When he finally glanced up and met her eyes, he gave her a tired smile. “Have I mentioned I’m really glad you’re okay?”

Her face softened and she rolled her eyes. “I’m sure…who else would run Watchtower with me gone?”

He could hear the joke in her voice, but his brows furrowed at the hint of nervousness he caught in her eyes. He moved forward and took her hand. “Chloe, that’s not why I’m glad that you’re okay. You know that, right? You mean more to me than just being Watchtower.” She shrugged and gave him a smile, attempting to brush off the seriousness in his voice, but he wouldn’t let her.

He tightened his grip, stopping her from moving away from him. “Nope, not letting you walk away until you admit that you and me…we’re friends.”

She glanced at him and pursed her lips, choosing her words carefully before speaking. “Of course we’re friends, Oliver…”

He tilted his head to the side, trying to figure out what was going through her head. “But…?”

She shook her head. “But nothing…we are friends I didn’t really mean anything by it. It was a joke…I know that’s not all I am to you…but it’s nice to hear every once in awhile.”

Chloe’s lips clamped shut after that statement, her eyes going wide, not sure what had possessed her to say that. She really needed to keep a lid on her mouth these days, it was just with all the time she’d been spending with Oliver lately, she’d grown used to his presence and though he hadn’t mentioned anything between them changing, she sort of felt like it had.

The past couple of weeks, ever since they’d had dinner and had gone over the files Victor had sent, she’d felt a shift in their dynamic. Oliver had started spending close to five days a week a Watchtower and Chloe had even ventured into uncharted territory and visited him at his home.

They’d hung out, eaten dinner and lunch together, sometimes even breakfast. He had even been able to drag her out of the tower for a few hours to go over and watch a movie at his place a few days back. She had really thought things were going well between them…even if she hadn’t exactly been forthcoming with her growing feelings.

She flushed slightly at her own thoughts and swallowed heavily before clearing her throat and looking away from him. “That came out wrong…look just forget it. It’s really not a big deal.” She took a step away from him and he once again blocked her path.

Oliver’s face softened, his heart speeding up as he swallowed heavily to moisten his throat. He wasn’t exactly sure what her words meant, but he definitely wasn’t about to let them go. “I’m sorry if I don’t say it enough…I just…I wasn’t sure you wanted to hear it.”

She frowned, eyebrows furrowing at his words. “Why wouldn’t I?”

He sighed and scratched the back of his neck as he spoke. “Well for starters, every time I bring up things like that, you sort of just laugh them off. It’s hard to know what you’re comfortable with…you’re not exactly an open book, Chloe.”

She sent a glare his way and threw her arms up in the arm. “I know that, but lately I’ve been more open. We’ve hung out and talked about things that I haven’t talked about with anyone else. These past few weeks have been….I don’t know…pick a cheesy term and insert it here. I thought…”

She shook her head and let out a long breath before continuing. “I thought maybe things between us were changing. That you and me…were heading in a different direction. I guess I was reading a little too much into things. Look it’s late and I’m sure you have better things to do than stand here and listen to me whine. I’m glad everything worked out with Vordigan…I’ll see you later, Oliver.”

Chloe turned and started walking toward the monitors, leaving Oliver standing there confused and slightly irritated. “That’s it? We had a little misunderstanding and what you’re running away?”

She spun around on her heel and jabbed a finger in his direction. “A misunderstanding? Oliver, you’ve spent the last four weeks hovering at my side. When I confront you about it, you tell me you enjoy spending time with me. Then, you spend the next two weeks bringing me dinner and lunch and making me like you and now you’re surprised when you find out this means something to me?”

Oliver stared at her, mouth open, eyes wide as he attempted to process what Chloe was saying to him. Him spending time with her meant something…Chloe enjoyed his company. A grin slid onto his face. She liked him. He didn’t know what had changed in the past two weeks since their dinner at Watchtower among files and computer printouts and he didn’t care. Chloe had feelings for him, it was obvious and the thought alone made him grin.

Her sharp voice knocked him out of his thoughts. “Do you find this funny?”

He shook his head and closed the distance between them in a few strides, gripping her arms as he spoke. “No! No I just…you like me.”

Chloe blinked, slightly flustered at his direct comment and shook her head. “What? No. I mean I don’t like you…not like ‘like’ you…umm…”

He laughed lightly and rolled his eyes. “Stop denying it. You, Chloe Sullivan, like me which actually works out pretty well cause I kind of like you too.”

She paused, surprise coloring her features. “What?”

Oliver smirked and nodded. “I’ve sort of been putting off telling you because I wasn’t sure you felt the same way and I didn’t want to risk our friendship because it means a lot to me…but Chloe…” He took another step forward and cupped her cheek, voice lowering as he spoke. “I most definitely like you.”

She sucked in a deep breath, her body shifting closer to his as she licked her lips. Oliver’s eyes were drawn down by her tongue darting out and he couldn’t fight the urge to lean in a kiss her.

The minute his lips touched hers, Chloe was lost in the sensation as she wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned into his mouth. She felt a twinge in her shoulder, but ignored it, knowing if she made any kind of sound of discomfort, Oliver would stop and that was the last thing she wanted.

He slipped one arm around her waist, pulling her flush against him, the other moving from her cheek to the back of her head as he coaxed her mouth open and deepened the kiss. When they broke apart, they were both breathing heavy and Chloe opened her mouth, but before she could even say anything, Oliver’s lips were back on hers.

He couldn’t believe he was kissing Chloe; it was almost surreal…almost. His hands slid down her back, cupping her ass in his hands as he lifted her off the floor, her legs automatically wrapping around his waist as he walked toward the couch in the corner, lips still tangled with hers.

Over the past few weeks, Oliver had patched things up with the team, rescued a teenage runaway, and managed to break through all of Chloe’s carefully put together walls. It was almost all too good to be true. His feet hit the front of the couch and he tossed the blonde in his arms down on it.

Chloe’s back hit the plush cushions, breasts bouncing slightly in her blouse, as she arched an eyebrow at him, amusement dancing in her eyes as she spoke. “I don’t remember saying you were getting lucky, Hero…”

Oliver smirked down on her. “I don’t see you saying I’m not…”

She grinned and shook her head while lifting one heel-clad foot, nudging the toe of it up his leg, encouraging him to come closer to her. "Well, then you’d better hurry up and make your way over here before I do."

His eyes darkened as they slid up her legs, to her charcoal gray skirt. He shifted and leaned over her, his fingers sliding behind her, gripping the zipper and meeting her eyes as he pulled it down slowly. Chloe’s heart was slamming against her chest, arousal coursing through her body.

She couldn’t remember the last time someone touched her and the anticipation was almost too much to take. Oliver watched her closely as he slipped his fingers below the waistband of her skirt, tugging it down gently over her hips, pausing briefly to see if she’d stop him, but as her hands clenched in the cushion, she wiggled slightly, moving the fabric down further.

Oliver sucked in a deep breath before removing it completely. He groaned at the sight of her bare legs, his hands skimming up her silky legs as his eyes dropped to the green lace of her panties. "Jesus, Chloe...you’re gorgeous…"

The way his eyes roamed over her body made Chloe swallow hard to moisten her throat. Her stomach coiled in anticipation as she parted her legs for him, hands reaching up, pulling his body against hers, thighs on either side of him.

Oliver was startled by her taking charge of the situation, he hadn’t expected that, but far be it for him to not go along with it. Chloe leaned up, placing a kiss to his jaw, warm breath caressing his skin, as she whispered against it. "Mr. Queen, I’m thinking that one of us is extremely overdressed…and it’s not me..."

Oliver let out a sharp breath and nodded, pulling back from her and slowly unbuttoning his shirt. "I can’t believe this is happening..."

Chloe shifted and chuckled lightly, propping herself up on the cushions behind her. “Is that disbelief I hear in your voice…What happened to that large ego that you flash around here on a daily basis, huh?”

He arched an eyebrow at her as she pushed his hands aside, her eyes following the movements of her hands as she undid each button slowly, small palms gripping the sides of his shirt. He spoke, a spark of mischief in his eyes. “Oh, don’t worry; trust me, my ego is large and you’ll be seeing it soon.”

Her lip twitched at the corner at his comment and she parted his shirt, licking her lips before running her fingers lightly over his chest, sliding them up to his shoulders and pushing the shirt off his body. Chloe's hands moved to his belt, her movements measured as she unbuckled and pulled it from the loops, tossing it aside.

Oliver was trying to focus, but it wasn’t easy. Her small hands were moving all over his body and it was driving him crazy. Chloe’s hands moved to his pants, two small fingers gripping his zipper and inching it down at a leisurely pace.

She tugged them partway down and he reached out, stopping her. Her eyes flickered up to his face, gaze questioning. “Are you sure? Cause as much as I want you Chloe…I want you to be sure…” Her expression softened and she pulled him back toward her body, hooking a leg around his hip and brought him flush against her.

She cupped his cheek, soft voice floating through the quiet room. "I’m positive." Oliver stared at her, his gaze filled with adoration. "Thank god..." He leaned in and kissed her collarbone before moving up her jaw and then capturing her mouth with his.

His fingers hooked themselves into the side of her panties. He took a deep breath and slipped them down her legs carefully. Chloe swallowed heavily as she lifted her legs slightly while he pulled them over her heels and dropped them to the floor.

Chloe pushed herself onto her knees and shoved him onto him back on the opposite end of the couch, her hands pushing his pants and boxers the rest of the way off as he kicked off his shoes. She straddled his waist, knees on either side of him, heels pressing into the cushion of the sofa.

Chloe grinned at him and dipped her head forward, placing a trail of open-mouthed kisses from his stomach, up his chest, making her way to his neck, teeth nipping at his pulse point. She shifted against him, hips rotating slightly against his hardened shaft as she moved a hand away from his body and toward her top, unbuttoning it.

When it was fully open, she arched her body forward and Oliver reached behind her, undoing the clasp of her bra, letting it fall open and off, the material tumbling to the floor all the while her hips still moving against him, creating a pleasant ache between her thighs.

A moan tumbled from her lips, one hand falling to his chest, eyes closing as she bit her bottom lip between her teeth head arched back, chest pushed forward as she continued to seek out more friction against her heated flesh.

A short groan escaped Oliver’s lips before he gripped her hips, pausing her movements and eliciting a small whimper from her as she opened her hazy eyes and frowned at him. He cleared his throat and spoke in a husky voice. “Condoms…just…one sec.”

Chloe nodded, not believing she had actually forgotten that they needed one. She shifted as he reached down to his discarded pants, flipped through the pockets and pulling out his wallet. Chloe continued to press several kisses against his jaw and below his ear as he dug out the condom and quickly opened and slipped it on over his hardened shaft.

Once the task was complete, he lifted her up, repositioning her so that her slit was just above his cock. He flattened his palms over her hips, his fingers stretching out as he rocked her back and forth on him, moistening the tip of his dick with her juices as she moved against him.

"Mmm, Jesus, Sidekick you're so wet..." His hips lifted off the couch as one of her hands gripped his shoulder, the other slipping between them, gripping his shaft as she leveraged herself over him, gliding down on him inch by inch until her body was engulfing him. Chloe winced slightly, groaning at the feel of him inside of her.

Chloe moved forward, pressing her body against his, hardened nipples grazing his chest as she kissed him and sucked his lower lip into her mouth, teeth grazing it lightly. She squeezed her inner muscles while lifting herself off him, creating more friction between them as she moved against him, setting a steady, slow pace until she could get used to the feel of him inside of her.

Oliver was still in awe that this was happening, but her soft mewling noise and the slick feel of her hot body around him was jumbling his thoughts entirely too quickly for him to care how they got here. All that mattered was Chloe was riding his cock like a goddamned cowgirl and he was loving every second of it.

She moved her lips to his ear, warm puffs of breath fanning against it. “God, you feel so good...” His breath left his lungs every time she slid down on him, sheathing his entire length back into her warm core, causing a moan to escape his lips as he leaned his forehead against hers. "You’re perfect, Chloe…so perfect.”

His grip tightened on her hips as he tried to guide her into faster movements. She took the hint and quickened her pace, capturing his lips with hers. He opened his mouth beneath hers, letting her deepen the kiss as she shifted, trying to spread her legs further and change the angle of her thrusts.

Chloe could feel the pressure building inside of her and she moaned as she rocked against him, a small whimper leaving her throat, breathing heavy as she sat up, pushing her hands against his lower abdomen to try and steady her movements.

Her head fell forward, curls pooling around her face as she let out a frustrated moan, his name coming out as a breath. “Ollie…” She clenched her inner muscles around him again. “Oh god...it’s not enough…I’m so close.”

The nickname made his heart fill with warmth as she continued to move against him before he scooped one arm around her back and shifted, pushing her until she was lying back on the sofa, causing him to sink deeper inside of her at their new position. He grunted as her legs wound around his waist, pulling him even further into her body as he moved inside of her. His lips moved over hers as he pulled her into another kiss while rolling his hips into hers again. "You're so tight, Chloe..."

She tightened her legs around him, heels biting into his ass as she arched her body up to meet his, a strangled moan leaving her throat at his words as he plunged back into her body. Chloe didn’t think she had ever enjoyed sex this much.

She was pretty sure it had never been like this. He was taking her to new heights of pleasure. He knew exactly where to touch her to make her body respond, every caress, and every flick of his tongue. She could feel her muscles coil beneath him, as she felt her orgasm approaching, but not quickly enough.

“Harder…Ollie, please...” She gripped his head, lips pressing against his jaw as she sucked in a few quick breaths. He stared down on her, still unable to believe that Chloe Sullivan was writhing beneath him on Watchtower’s couch, begging him to make her come.

His thoughts were shoved from his head when she sucked his ear into her mouth causing Oliver to slam back into her hard, murmuring softly as he quickened his pace, the sense of his climax closing in on him as he continued to plunge inside of her.

He felt her muscles clamping around him, a quiver running down her spine as she arched up and into him, her passage squeezing him tightly as she came, crying out his name. Two more thrusts and he followed her over the edge, her inner walls milking his cock until there was nothing left.

Oliver’s head dropped to her neck and she tilted her head to the side, hands running up and down his back as she tried to calm her breathing. She placed a kiss to his shoulder and broke the silence a minute later. “Wow…that was…wow…”

He chuckled and placed a kiss against her throat. “I’m going to have to second that wow…” She smiled and let out a small sigh as she spoke quietly. “You know…this might seem completely off topic here, but you’ve been running around checking on everyone since the whole Vordigan thing happened…but you haven’t told me how you’re doing. I know it couldn’t have been easy for you.”

He lifted his head and grinned down on her, eyebrow raised. “Vordigan is the last thing I want to talk about after what just happened…but you’re right…it’s been a difficult few days.” He gave her a thoughtful look before his grin widened. “You know…I’ve got an idea…”

She titled her head to the side and arched an eyebrow. “Hmm…?” He leaned forward and pressed a kiss against her collarbone before speaking. “Maybe you should come home with me…I can order some dinner…we can talk about everything that’s been going on…possibly have some more sex…”

He let his voice trail off and Chloe laughed lightly at his words while rolling her eyes. She brushed a hand through his hair and kissed his jaw before glancing up and meeting his eyes as she spoke. “You know…that doesn’t sound like a bad idea…” Oliver beamed at her. Oh yeah, he could definitely get used to having Chloe Sullivan in his arms or better yet…his bed.

Chapter Four

  1. Oliver came through!lol. First off, I like how she was saved by him in his arms, catching her as she fell. I wish we would see something like that in the TV series -it would have been cute watching Allison Mack and Justin Hartley act that out, especially with their height and size difference.

Second, finally the sex! They have now crossed that line and I am looking forward to the change in their dynamics most especially when they meet Zatanna again.I would love to see her smirk at Ollie and tell him that she just gave him a little push and whatever happened between him and Chloe and the team was all his doing.
