Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Lois, Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: “He's a good man, Chloe...and he'll be good to you." (flareonfury)

Chloe had stopped by the Planet, coffee in hand under the guise of a friendly visit, but Lois knew better. She and Chloe had both been ridiculously busy lately, they’d traded emails and phone calls regularly, but neither of their schedules had been clear enough to drop in on each other unannounced.

“Alright cuz spill…what’s going on?”

Chloe’s brows furrowed, confusion settling on her face.

“What do you mean?”

Lois rolled her eyes.

“You didn’t drive across town to bring me a cup of coffee. Let’s have it.”

Chloe swallowed hard and spoke in a soft voice.

“It’s Oliver.”

Lois chuckled.

“You’re gonna have to give me more than that.”

“I’m pretty sure whatever we had is over.”

“What happened?”

Chloe shrugged.

“He wants a relationship.”

She hesitated and Lois sighed. Ever since Jimmy died Lois knew how her cousin felt about relationships, but for once she just wished Chloe would take the leap. She deserved to be happy.

“You guys are a lot alike. If anyone deserves a chance Chlo, it’s Oliver.”

She saw a glimpse of hope on Chloe’s face.

“You think?”

Lois nodded, smile on her face.

“He's a good man, Chloe...and he'll be good to you."

Day Twenty Two:
Title: Trust Me
Rating: PG-13
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Oliver/Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: misleading words (smallvillefics)

Oliver sat on the couch in the empty Headquarters, Chloe sitting across from him.

“Pregnant?”

She nodded.

“You’re sure?”

“Emil told me last week. I was waiting for the right time to tell you.”

“And you thought that was here, with the rest of the team fifteen feet away from us?”

She sighed in frustration.

“I panicked. I’ve been trying to tell you all week.”

Chloe was pregnant with his baby. He’s going to be a father. The thought exhilarated and scared him all at once.

“We need to take care of this…”

Chloe tuned his voice out, heart clenching, pain filling her. Tears pooling in her eyes. She should have known he wouldn’t want this that it’d be too much for him. Oliver’s worried voice cut through her thoughts.

“Chloe…what’s wrong?”

“If you don’t want to be involved fine, but I’m not getting an abortion Oliver.”

Confusion filled him.

“Who said anything about abortion?”

“Take care of this?”

He nodded.

“Yeah, you need things, prenatal vitamins, an exam...I didn’t mean...this wasn’t planned, but, I’m here.”

Oliver’s arms wrapped around her relief evident as she relaxed against him. He wasn’t mad.

“We’ll figure this out. Trust me.”

And she did.

Twenty Three:
Title: Two months
Rating: PG
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: simple (jessicabeth)

Clark had always had a complex life. Having duel identities will do that to you. He’d always had to hide the truth about who and what he truly was. In high school while other teenager’s worried about homework he worried about making it through a day without developing a new abilitiy.

He was in charge of life and death situations everyday and ninety-nine percent of the time he had no clue what he was doing, but at least Clark had a silver lining.

One constant, that no matter how bad things got, never changed. His best friend, Chloe Sullivan was the only truly simple thing in his life. Ever since he let her in on his secret she’d been there for him, protecting him, supporting him, no questions asked.

Her friendship had gotten him through the hardest times and he was finally ready to take their relationship to the next level. Things had always been simple between him and Chloe. She knew everything about him, all his strengths, all his weaknesses, and yet she was still by his side.

Clark was in love with Chloe; he should’ve realized his feelings sooner, but as his mother said, better late than never.

Twenty Four:
Title: In Over Her Head
Rating: PG
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Clark/Lois
Word Count: 200
Prompt: she’s got balls (Deansmistress22)

He watched Lois lean over the counter in his kitchen reaching for the pot of coffee. He still couldn’t believe that four hours ago he’d been super speeding around Metropolis attempting to save Lois from her most recent kidnapping.

As usual she’d gotten in over her head with one of her stories. Some thugs were trying to intimidate her into not writing it. By the time Clark made it to the warehouse they were keeping her, she’d been in the process of taking down the second thug with a move he’s sure she learned from the general.

Clark grinned at the memory. Lois moved toward the table eyebrow raised.

“What are you grinning at Smallville?”

He shook his head.

“Just wondering how you managed to take down two guys twice your size. You never cease to amaze me Lois.”

She shrugged and sat in the chair across from him, smirk on her face.

“They had it coming! I can’t believe they thought their stupid threats would intimidate me,” She rolled her eyes. “I’ve dealt with crazy editors worse than those clowns.”

Clark laughed as he shook his head. She’s got balls, and Clark Kent wouldn’t have it any other way.

Day Twenty Five
Title: Afternoon Quickies
Rating: PG-13
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Lois Oliver/Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: goody two shoes (deansmistress22)

Lois’s eyes widened as she glanced out the crack in the bathroom door. She’d stopped off at the Talon before heading to the farm and as another moan broke through the silence of the apartment she was regretting the decision. Chloe pushed Oliver against the kitchen island, smiling at him.

“Tell me Mr. Queen, how hot did you say it was again?”

Lois could see Oliver swallow hard, speaking in a strained voice.

“Hot…very hot.”

Chloe grinned, slowly unbuttoning Oliver’s shirt. Lois squeezed her eyes shut taking a deep breath. Chloe had always been the goody two shoes of the family. When had her baby cousin started bringing billionaires home for afternoon quickies she had no idea, but she needed to get out of there and fast.

“Oh god Ollie…”

Lois slapped a palm against her forehead and added deafness along with blindness to her current wish list. She was supposed to be at Clark’s twenty minutes ago and Clark had called her twice already. If she didn’t get their soon he was…her thoughts trailed off when she heard the door open, Clark’s voice filling the apartment.

“Lois are you…oh my god…”

“Oh god…”

SHIT…”

Oh well, too late for wondering.

Day Twenty Six
Title: More Than A Hero
Rating: PG-13
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Oliver/Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: salvation (lilmoochie)

Oliver Queen glanced at the woman sitting across from him, blonde hair curled below the ear, green top clinging to her curves, as she sat pen in mouth glaring at the screen in front of her. She was beautiful. He’d noticed it before tonight, but never let his eyes linger because that wasn’t what their relationship was about.

This was the first time he’d had a female companion who was a friend and nothing more…Okay so somewhere along the line he’d fallen head over heels for Chloe Sullivan and though they were only friends, his feelings surpassed friendship long ago.

What they had was different. Chloe knew more about him then any woman he’d ever known and yet she was still there day in and out, helping him, guiding him, saving him.

Chloe sighed at the screen and turned. She caught Oliver’s eyes and the look on his face made her swallow hard. He had that look again, the one he’d been getting lately. Chloe arched a perfectly sculpted eyebrow, voice soft.

“What?”

“I…nothing.”

Chloe shrugged turning back to work on the computer as Oliver sighed. She was more than his best friend, more than a hero…she was his salvation.

Day Twenty Seven
Title: You Jinxed Us
Rating: PG-13
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Lois, Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: bar hopping (deansmistress22)

Lois grabbed the shot, tossing it back, and slamming the glass down. Chloe chuckled and followed suit, adding another empty glass to their growing pile. It was Saturday night and they’d left the boys at home deciding this little girl’s night out was long overdue.

She couldn’t remember the last time they’d blow off some steam. Between Superman’s introduction to the world, Lois’s job at the Planet, and Chloe’s Watchtower duties, their free time had been limited.

“I missed this.”

Chloe raised an eyebrow as she watched Lois teeter slightly before righting her.

“Whoa someone’s had a little too much to drink.”

“Pshh, please. I can out drink a Marine…I think little Chloe’s scared to let the crazy loose.”

Lois waggled her eyebrows drunkenly and Chloe giggled. They’d been drinking since ten and it was currently after one. They grabbed two more shots and made their way to a table in the back of the bar. When the last shot was downed, Chloe glanced at Lois.

“I kinda love having the night off. No life threatening situations tonight!”

Right as the words were spoken their phones rang simultaneously and Lois glared at her cousin.

“Damn it Chloe! You jinxed us!”

Day Twenty Eight:
Title: Down Time
Rating: PG
Author: Sxymami0909
Fandom: Smallville
Pairing: Oliver/Chloe
Word Count: 200
Prompt: babysitting (smallvillefics)

Oliver walked into his apartment noticing the high heels lying on the floor. He grinned. It had been a long day. Clark was patrolling and Oliver was looking forward to spending some well earned down time with his favorite sidekick.

He shrugged his jacket off, tossing it on the chair before moving into the kitchen. He glanced at his girlfriend eyebrow raised.

“Chloe…”

She turned, smiling.

“Hey.”

“Is there something you wanna tell me?”

He motioned to the baby and she laughed.

“I ran into Marabella downstairs. She got called into work last minute, had no one to watch Isabelle, so I told her we wouldn’t mind doing it.”

Only Chloe could spend all day running missions for the league, come home, and have enough energy to deal with a baby. It’s all that damn coffee she drinks. He could hear the whine in his own voice.

“Chlo…”

“We need the practice.”

“But we have six months...oh, fine.”

Right as Oliver sat down a spoon full of baby food flew at his face, laughter filling the room. He wiped the green gunk off, sighing as a smile twitched at the corner of his lips. So much for his night off…
