I'd catch a grenade for ya

I'd jump in front of a train for ya
You know I'd do anything for ya
He came back for her. Well technically he hadn’t actually been there to begin with, but still he found her. Powers, no powers Clark was forever throwing himself into dangerous situations for her. Tonight had just been another example of what he was willing to risk for her.
When they had tied her up to that wooden pole like a goddamned witch he’d swooped in, untying her, lifting her up and saving the day as usual. And of course it wasn’t the first time he had saved her life. She used to go around day dreaming about the Red Blue Blur, and how great he was meanwhile never knowing that the real hero all along was her quiet little farmboy.
When she first made her way back to Metropolis from her little trip to the future and landed smack dead in the middle of a moving train, Clark had been the one to jump in front of said train and saving her when some psycho bitch from the future tried to kill her on it.
Sure he had powers so taking bullets for her, throwing his hands in front of blades when muggers were trying to steal her purse wouldn’t ever really hurt him, but that wasn’t why he did it. Clark didn’t think before he leapt and Lois was almost 100 percent certain that even if he wasn’t some kind of superhero he’d still risk his life to protect her and she would undoubtedly do the same.
That’s what loving someone was, being willing to do anything for each other, risk it all and that’s exactly what Lois was going to do tonight. She was ready to take a risk…to bring their relationship to the next level. She watched him as he stood in the kitchen brushing soot off his shirt.
She stood and slowly walked over to him. Clark caught sight of her and glanced up giving her a questioning look. Lois sent him a warm smile before leaning up and pressing a soft kiss to his lips while gripping his cheek.
He returned the kiss wrapping his arms around her and groaning into her mouth. She smelled of fire and herbs and yet he’d never smelt anything better. When they broke apart, they were still in each other’s arms neither wanting to pull away.
Lois caught his eyes before speaking in a voice that was barely above a whisper, but Clark being Clark heard every word clearly. “It’s time for bed Smallville…”She let the sentence trail off but he caught her meaning from the look in her eyes.
He swallowed hard voice light. “Are you sure?” She nodded and grinned placing a kiss against his jaw. “I’ve never been more sure.” Clark smiled lifting her up in his arms and placing a kiss on her lips as he walked them upstairs. She continued placing small soft kisses along his jaw line all the while thinking this was it…this was the moment everything changed and she couldn’t wait.
